Girl's Rights of Passage Program
"Building Esteem, Strengthening Minds"
Service Description
Our Girls’ Rites of Passage Program is a transformative 7-week journey designed to empower young girls as they transition from childhood to womanhood. Drawing on the wisdom of ancient African rites of passage, the program encompasses the following key rites:
- Self-Discovery and Identity:
Participants explore their personal identities, cultural heritage, and self-worth through various activities and discussions. - Health and Wellbeing:
Emphasis on physical, mental, and emotional health, including self-care practices, healthy lifestyle choices, and coping strategies. - Skill Building and Education:
Focus on developing essential life skills, academic excellence, and a love for learning, encouraging participants to set and achieve personal goals. - Community and Leadership:
Cultivating a sense of community and leadership skills through group projects, mentoring, and community service, empowering girls to become active and responsible members of society. - Celebration and Achievement:
The program culminates in a celebratory event where participants reflect on their growth, share their achievements, and look forward to the future with confidence and pride.
Join us in this inspiring journey to nurture strong, confident, and resilient young women!
Participants are required to attend all sessions of the 7-week program, as each session is critical to the girls’ comprehensive rites of passage experience. Missing more than one session will result in ineligibility to participate in the graduation ceremony.
